Amine and Glycol

Amine and glycol

IPL’s analytical services provide amine and glycol testing to help ensure your process, scavenger and treatment fluids are performing as they should.

Amine

Amine is used in a wide range of applications. IPL specialises in the analysis of amine for customers within the Oil and Gas and Refining industries. Testing can help you determine how efficiently your amine is likely to absorb H2S or COas well as contaminant and degradation product levels to aid in troubleshooting and process unit optimisation.
IPL’s amine testing includes:

- CO2 Content
- H2S content
- ICP Determination of Solute Elements ( Chromium, Iron, Nickel)
- Total Amine
- Activator content
- Appearance
- Determination of Anions by IC (Formate, Chloride, Sulphate, Oxalate, Phosphate, Thiosulphate, Thiocyanate)
- pH
- Amine strength
- Heat Stable Salts (HSS and HSAS)
- Foaming Tendency

Glycol

Glycol is used to absorb moisture from process streams to prevent formation of hydrates. Testing we provide can help in determining glycol has sufficiently separated before re-circulation and that it is not oil contaminated. We can also identify salt concentration as well as determine how much water has been absorbed. Test results can also be used to identify possible corrosion issues.
IPL’s glycol (MEG and TEG) testing includes:

- TPH
- Iron
- Conductivity
- Chlorides
- Moisture by Karl Fischer

IPL offers a range of chemicals analysis. You can rely on the testing services of an experienced and accredited petrochemical lab.
